• What is your favorite part of the job? The people

• If you were the big boss of it all, what would you change about the community? I'd find homes for people living in the park.

• What was the last good book you read? "Children of the Storm," by Elizabeth Peters

• What is your worst fear? Being a bag lady. It's totally irrational, but I have a fear of living on the streets. Other than that, it's snakes.

• If you were a vegetable, what kind of vegetable would you be? Artichoke. It's prickly on the outside but it has a lovely heart.

• Coke, Pepsi or other? When I drink soda, I drink Pepsi, but I normally drink water.

HOMELESS SHELTER?
Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
Yes. We've gone too long with limited options for homeless families.
