Engagement: Kline/McAvoy

Jill Kline and Jeff McAvoy, residents of Milwaukee, Wis., plan to wed June 14 at the Lakefront Palm Garden in Milwaukee.

The bride-to-be, daughter of Joel Kline of Elgin, Ill., and the late Janice Kline, is a 2000 graduate of South Side High School in Fort Wayne, Ind. She graduated from Manchester College, Ind., in 2004 and earned a master's degree in public service from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., in 2008.

She is the community initiatives coordinator at the Wisconsin Humane Society in Milwaukee, Wis.

Her fiancé is the son of John and Donna McAvoy of Live Oak. A 2001 graduate of Live Oak High School, he earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago, Ill., in 2006.

He works as a graphic designer for the Discovery World science and technology museum in Milwaukee, Wis.
