Petty Officer Nicholas Aaron Knudsen

United States Navy E5 Petty Officer 2nd Class Nicholas Aaron Knudsen is the son of Mark and Yvette Knudsen of Yuba City and brother to Krista Knudsen, also of Yuba City. He is grandson to the late Otto R. Samuel and his wife, Carol, of Yuba City and the late Henry Knudsen,and his wife, Iris, of Seattle, Wash.

Knudsen attended Tierra Buena Elementary School and was active in Tang Soo Do, earning his first degree black belt under Master Stephen Propst. He graduated from Yuba City High School in 2006 and joined the Navy.

Knudsen attended basic training at Great Lakes, Ill. He completed "A" School, Power School and Prototype School at Charleston, S.C., and is an electronics technician.

In 2008, Knudsen deployed for six months in the Western Pacific aboard the USS Asheville.

Knudsen is stationed at Naval Base, Point Loma, San Diego.
