Stolen Honda pulled from Feather River

A stolen Honda Accord was pulled from the Feather River at the boat launch in Beckwourth Riverfront Park this morning.

A Bi-County Ambulance crew was driving over the Fifth Street Bridge and spotted the completely submerged vehicle about 40 feet from the boat launch.

“The vehicle was reported stolen out of Yuba City Monday morning, said Sgt. Chris Sachs of the Marysville Police Department.

Dept. Dan Harris, a dive team member with the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department, geared up in a wetsuit and headed out with a snorkel and mask before switching to scuba gear.

Harris hooked the vehicle to a tow truck and it was pulled from the river.

The only obvious missing item was the car stereo.
