I write this letter of gratitude the morning after a long and stressful day in the Fremont maternity unit. Anticipation of my first biological grandchild becomes a period of stress resulting from a difficult labor and ultimately a C-section that saved my daughter and her baby girl. When you need the police, a fire man or the medical field, you tend to expect the very finest.
In this endeavor, we have in our community the finest batch of doctors and nurses in our two local hospitals. The professionalism of the nursing staff at Fremont is state-of-the-art. Their confidence, friendliness and experience was overwhelming and resulted in a very happy and joyful conclusion.
We should all lead a life that no matter how stressful we can lay our head on our pillow at night and say “I did something good for humanity today.” The next time you are feeling beat up by society, go spend a night in the emergency room and listen – observe what these nurses have to contend with. I have and I couldn’t do it twice. So for fearful and nervous expectant mothers-to-be, you can go to Fremont and expect the finest care possible from the staff. God bless you all.
