Occupation: Retired state of California administrator; after retirement started a nonprofit organization (Feline Veterinary Emergency Assistance) to help people pay their vet bills when they are unable to do so alone

Hobbies, interests: Golfing and reading

What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? Moved here after retirement when my wife got a job here

Place of worship you attend: First United Methodist Church of Yuba City

How long have you attended? Five years

What is the importance of faith in your life? Faith is the foundation of life. Without it, we drift without purpose or direction. I lived much of my life in that condition, living a life focused on only me. When I accepted Jesus Christ into my life, I realized what peace and joy he could bring.

How do you live out your faith? I am truly a work in progress. Relatively new to my faith, I have a lot still to learn and a lot of spiritual growth to complete. I am nowhere near the man that the Lord wants me to be, but he and I are working on it.
