Ted A. Langford

A memorial service for Ted Allen Langford, 48, of Live Oak is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday at Church of the Nazarene, 2727 Fir St., Live Oak. He died Nov. 16, 2005, at his residence.


Born in Garden City, Kan., he was a Yuba-Sutter resident since 1960.


He was a heavy-equipment operator for Thiara Farms in Yuba City. Previously he worked as a janitor and bus driver for the Live Oak Unified School District and as a janitor at Yuba College.


He attended Manzanita Elementary School and Gridley High School.


He served in the U.S. Marines.


Survivors include two sons, Joseph Langford and Thomas Langford, both of Gridley; two stepsons, Michael Jory of Gridley and Robert Jory of Marysville; his mother, Lois May Langford of Live Oak; a brother, Louis Langford of Live Oak; and three sisters, Patsy Hites of Marysville and Margaret Rogers and Janet Benzel, both of Live Oak.


He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Ford Langford.


Donations may be made to Fremont-Rideout Hospice, 1260 Williams Way, Yuba City, CA 95991; or the American Cancer Society, 618 Fifth St., Marysville, CA 95901.


At the Saturday service, Pastor Haskell Jones of Downtown Ministries of Sacramento and Pastor Rick Schies of Live Oak Nazarene will officiate.
