Bruce T. Jenkins
Bruce Talman Jenkins, 96, of Live Oak died Jan. 26, 2006, at his residence.
Born in Point Richmond, he was a lifelong Yuba-Sutter residence.
He was a farmer for many years.
A 1933 graduate of the California Maritime Academy, he served in the US Naval Reserve until honorably discharged in 1941. He sailed with the Merchant Marine during World War II until he was released from active duty with the rank of lieutenant senior grade in 1945.
He served as a district delegate of the California Canning Peach Association, Sunsweet Growers and Diamond Walnut Growers. He was director of Diamond Walnut Growers for about 10 years.
He was a lifetime member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Marysville and a member of Peach Tree Country Club for 40 years.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Higgins Jenkins of Live Oak; two daughters, Jan Schmidl of Live Oak and Sylvia Lamon of Yuba City; a sister, Dorothy Ross of Live Oak; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services: Services are private. Arraignments are under the direction Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City.
