Serve elegant lobster to your valentine
This week, I am sharing a very simple and elegant recipe for lobster that could make a perfect Valentine's Day dinner.
ELEGANT LOBSTER IN CREAM SAUCE
Ingredients
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 pound lobster meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1⁄2 cup chopped carrot
2 bay leaves
1⁄2 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
1 cup sherry wine
2 cups heavy cream
1⁄2 cup chopped green onions
1⁄2 cup diced tomato
Salt and pepper, to taste
Putting it together
In a large pan over high heat, add the butter and lobster and cook for about two minutes, or until the lobster begins to get a bit of color on it. Remove the lobster from the pan and add the mushrooms, carrots, bay leaves, celery and onions and cook until golden. Add the garlic and the wine and cook until most of the wine has evaporated.
Turn the heat to low and add the cream. Let it cook until the sauce is a little thick — but not too thick. Return the lobster to the pan and cook for about three minutes. Turn the heat off. Add salt and pepper as needed. Add the green onions and tomato and stir to combine.
Serve over cooked noodles or rice or with mashed potatoes.
