Wedding: Loewen/Martin
Candace Loewen and Greg Martin, residents of San Diego, were married June 16 at the Village at Northstar in Truckee.
Her brother, Kyle Loewen of Vancouver, BC, Canada, officiated.
A reception was held at the Village overlook.
The bride, daughter of David and Valerie Loewen of Sutter, was attended by her sister, Kirsten Loewen of San Diego, as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Noelle Buttacavoli of Yuba City, Sarah Montooth of San Marcos, Brenda Spry of San Diego and Shannon Hawkins of Phoenix, Ariz.
Attendants also included Keirra Elliott of Imperial Beach as flower girl; and the bride's nephews, Aiden Mote of Sutter and Brycen Mackenzie and Braxton Mackenzie of Medina, Wash., as ring bearers.
The bride is a graduate of Faith Christian High School. She earned her master's degree in psychology from Chapman University and has a private practice as a marriage and family therapist in San Diego.
The groom, son of Teresa Martin of Florida and Gregory Martin of Washington, had Jed Finkle of Brooklyn, NY, as best man.
Ushers included Sean Elliott of Imperial Beach, Matt Gallagher of Herndon, Va., and Brian Wood of Sterling, Va.
The groom received a business degree from Virginia Tech. He is head of west coast sales for VCA Antech.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico.
