Letter: Facing bigger issues than gay marriage

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

It is truly amazing. Here we are: Gas prices going through the roof; crime, especially gang-related, rampant; the peach farmers taking a major hit from the weather early on in the year; and Dan Logue is worried about a marriage form that changed from “bride and groom” to “Party A and Party B.”

Wake up, Logue, it ain’t the end of the world. If you would focus on the problems that will face us over the next four years, you might gain back some of the credulity you seem to have lost.

And you might want to read the letter to the editor from Steve Shoup (“King would fight bias against gays,” June 18). All people are equal under the eyes of the law and if I read the Bible correctly, to God also.

HOMELESS SHELTER?
Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
Yes. We've gone too long with limited options for homeless families.
It's a good idea, but the fire station is a bad location for this.
No. The city has better things they can use the building for.
I'm not sure.
