Alcohol sting pinches Casino Marysville
The Marysville Police Department conducted an undercover operation on Thursday to crack down on underage drinking.
Yuba City resident Daniel Lee Nesbitt, 22, and Marysville resident Abigail Ruth Andrews, 23, were arrested at Casino Marysville after a minor decoy was provided alcohol. They were cited and released at the scene.
Police said this is the second time this year that Casino Marysville has furnished alcohol to a decoy.
Some 19 people were asked to buy alcohol for a minor during a "shoulder-tap" operation, police said. One woman, 44-year-old Kimberly Darlyne Edwards, was arrested in Marysville and booked into the Yuba County Jail.
Funding for the program was possible because of a grant from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
