Overnight fire at Marysville's Riverfront Park

A small fire in a homeless camp was quickly extinguished late Monday by CalFire Marysville firefighters near the soccer fields in Marysville's Riverfront Park.
The blaze, described by Marysville Police Sgt. Jason Garringer as "larger than a camp fire" was reported by an eastbound motorist crossing the 10th Street Bridge at 10:18 p.m. No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
