Letter: Questions raised on Samayoa, police donation

On Oct. 21, Amy Marquis expressed her concerns about Ricky Samayoa being endorsed by the Marysville Police Officers Association.
That doesn't bother me as much as the fact that he has been given $550 in monetary donations. Yes, $550 in donations while in active negotiations with the same association.
You can go to City Hall and request to see his Fair Political Practice Commission form 460 for the proof.
Is this legal? That remains to be seen.
Is it ethical? I don't think so.
Transparency in government is a must. Marquis, your question does need an answer. I'm happy to see a new resident who speaks up.
