Briefs: Trap and clay fundraiser in Rio Oso
A trap and sporting clay fundraiser, hosted by the Yuba Feather Rivers Sunrise Rotary, starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Coon Creek Trap and Skeet Club on Waltz Road, Rio Oso.
Tickets are $60 for a trap package or $80 for sporting clays. Admission includes range fees, a tri-tip lunch and two raffle tickets. The event includes a BB gun competition and turkey shoot.

Elks Lodge hosting breakfast
Marysville Elks Lodge is hosting its annual community breakfast prior to the Veterans Day parade.
Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Nov. 11 at the lodge, 920 D St., Marysville.
A donation of $4 is requested per person and those in military uniform are free.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on D Street.

Christmas Goose set for Nov. 16-17
The Christmas Goose featuring many artisans and culinary goods has returned for its 35th year.
The event is scheduled from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Nov. 16 and 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Nov. 17 at St. Isidore Church, 222 Clark Ave., Yuba City.
Parking and admission is free.

Parade theme announced
Plans for the annual Marysville Christmas Day parade are under way, with this year's theme, "Home for Christmas."
Applications are being accepted and can be picked up at Marysville City Hall, 526 C St. and are due by Nov. 21.
The parade starts at 5 p.m. Dec. 1 and will start at Sixth and D streets in Marysville.
