Trailer too tall for Marysville rail overpass

The top of a trailer was sheared off Monday morning when a truck driver tried to go under the Union Pacific Railroad overpass on B Street near Marysville High School.

"It was just a little bit too tall," Marysville Police Sgt. Christian Sachs said of the vehicle.

The accident, reported at 7:19 a.m., closed traffic for 41 minutes and led to a detour sending vehicles onto 12th Street.

The driver of truck, from Antonini Freight Express of Stockton, declined to comment on the accident. Antonini Freight Express declined comment as well.

No one was injured.
