What is the importance of faith in your life? Well it’s number one in my life. I just believe that there is one God and if you follow his teachings, you will make it through life. There are some bumps in life and some people blame God, but if you follow the Bible it says there is going to be hard times. I turn to God. But not just when there are hard times. I thank him for the good times and pray for the hard times. Sometimes you want to ask yourself, “what did I do to deserve this?’ but everything happens for a reason. When I was diagnosed with polio, I thought that to myself but I realized when I got older that maybe God would give me the answer on the other side.

How do you live out your faith? Even before I started to go to church I felt that you should treat people the way you want to be treated. So that’s how I live out (my faith). Trying to be an example of good morals. I try to live what I preach. You can look at a situation or at someone and be judgmental but I try not to do that.

Faith in Action appears Saturdays. It features a member of a church, temple or mosque and the importance of their faith. To suggest someone to be featured, contact Faith & Family coordinator Larry Badger at 749-4776 or lbadger@ appealdemocrat. com.
