Letter: Stadium art project brightens Marysville
As a Marysville resident, I am often ashamed and disgusted by how bad our town looks. Many of the downtown buildings are empty, dilapidated and in bad need of a facelift. One or two of them are in bad need of implosion.
It is because of this that I want to take the time to applaud the work being done to the outside walls of All Seasons RV Stadium. It is so refreshing to drive by and see these wonderful works of art depicting baseball players and fans. Thank you American Recovery Reinvestment Act Summer Youth Project and thank you artists for giving a small section of Marysville a badly needed face lift. It's a joy to look at them each day and see your work.
Hopefully these improvements will be contagious and the town of Marysville will have the courage to step up to the plate. (Pun intended.)
