Wedding: Hicks/McDowell
Amy Hicks and Jonathan McDowell, residents of San Diego, were married Nov. 3 on Mission Beach, Santa Clara Place, in San Diego.
A reception was held at the Mission Beach Women’s Club in San Diego.
The bride, daughter of Roy Hicks of Olivehurst and the late Julie Edick, was attended by Samantha Prather of Olivehurst and Holly Rich of Las Vegas as maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jill Jacobi of San Diego and Lauren Pursley of San Francisco.
Attendants also included Hallie and Lillie Prather of Olivehurst as flower girls; and Christian Lucatero of Marysville as ring bearer.
The bride received her bachelor’s degree in journalism, with a minor in health science, from California State University, Chico and is an alumna of Sigma Kappa Sorority.
She is a property manager for Barrister Executive Suites in San Diego.
The groom is the son of C.J. McDowell of San Diego and the late Howard McDowell. He was attended by his brother, Ben McDowell, and James Wagner, both of San Diego, as best men.
Groomsmen were Drew Schuster, Stephen Brou and Troy Marcikic, all of San Diego.
The groom received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of California, San Diego and is an American Cheese Society certified cheese professional.
He is a sales manager for the Aniata Cheese Company in San Diego.
The couple honeymooned at Ambergris Caye, Belize.
