Linda gang member gets 6 years for child molestation

A Linda gang member will spend the next six years in prison for molesting a 13-year-old girl.

After a key witness went missing in September, the Yuba County District Attorney’s Office was forced to cut a deal with Alejandro “Alex” Quintana.

Quintana, 23, pleaded no contest to a single felony count of sexual battery. He was initially charged with two felony counts of committing lewd and lascivious acts with a minor.

Yuba County deputies accused Quintana of molesting three girls, ages 11, 13, and 14, but he was only charged with harming one girl.

Prosecutors said Quintana abused the girl multiple times in 2009 and 2010.

Quintana’s criminal history includes a gang-related weapons conviction in Yuba County in 2009.

As part of his plea deal with the district attorney’s office, Quintana must served more than five years before he is eligible for his first parole hearing.
