Wedding: Mertz/Kelly
Kathleen Mertz and Christopher Kelly, residents of Abbot Village, Maine, were married July 21 in Blanchard, Maine.
A reception was held at Parkman, Maine.
The bride, daughter of Tammy Mertz and David and Charlotta Mertz of Sutter, was attended by Breanna Mertz of Yuba City as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lisa Nelson of Yuba City, Kelli Viekman of Abbot Village, Maine, and Sarah Anderson of Monson, Maine.
Attendants also included Kylie Searle of Marysville as a junior bridesmaid; Ivy Mertz of Yuba City and Ava Edes of Monson, Maine, as flower girls; and David Mertz of Yuba City as ring bearer.
The bride is studying business and earning her degree through Rasmussen College.
The groom, son of Stephanie Taylor of Abbot Village, Maine, and Jeff Kelly of Colorado Springs, Colo., had his cousin, Zan Anderson of Austin, Texas, as best man.
Groomsmen were Jeff Collins and Kenny Mertz of Yuba City and Jared Landry of Austin, Texas.
The groom plans to work in cabinetry design.
Both the bride and groom attended Sutter schools and are graduates of Sutter Union High School.
The couple had a three-day honeymoon in Boston, Mass., including attending a Red Sox vs. Tigers game at Fenway Park, and are planning a later Caribbean cruise.
They plan to make their home in Colorado Springs, Colo.
