50th Anniversary: Micheli
Live Oak residents Ken and Mary Jeanne Micheli, the former Mary Jeanne Hillis, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 1 with a celebration at Pasquini's in Live Oak.
The celebration was hosted by their children and family.
The couple met in Oahu, Hawaii, where she was attending college and he was stationed in the Navy. They were married a few months later on Oct. 31, 1959, at Barber's Point Naval Base in Oahu, Hawaii, and soon moved to Live Oak.
A lifelong resident of Live Oak, he has been a farmer and owner of Ken Micheli Farms for 50 years.
She is a member of the Yuba City Church of the Nazarene choir.
The couple's family includes four children, Michael Micheli and Matt Micheli, both of Live Oak, Mark Micheli of Crescent City and Marni Boyer of Ceres; and 10 grandchildren.
