Letter: Want to find blame? Try looking in mirror

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Why are so many people blaming Obama for turning the country inside out? If this is a democracy, didn’t we as a people choose beforehand to put the gears in motion to begin the decay of our civilization? Wasn’t it up to us to make the right choices?

We had every chance to make things go right, but everyone complains about universal health care or free schooling because “they are communist and socialist  views that are evil.”

That statement translates into “I want to be able to be better then somebody. I want my kids to be able to be better then someone.”

That’s sad that nobody wants to be equal if it means no one can be better ... a horrible and terribly ridiculous thing, but so appallingly true.

Obama could make the financial situation the United States of America is in better, but he could never fix the narrow-minded, ill-informed and often times flat-out stupid way the American people think and act.

You can only blame the person in mirror.

HOMELESS SHELTER?
Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
Yes. We've gone too long with limited options for homeless families.
It's a good idea, but the fire station is a bad location for this.
No. The city has better things they can use the building for.
I'm not sure.
