Jaconetti takes Mini Miss crown
They sparkled, sang and spoke, but only one took home the title of Mini Miss Yuba-Sutter.
Jordyn Jaconetti, 11, was shaking with excitement as Miss Yuba-Sutter and Miss Teen Yuba-Sutter pinned on her sparkling crown Thursday.
"There's so many things I get to do now," she said. "My biggest goal is to be the best role model I can be."
Allie Mooney took the title of first runner up and Emily Smith was crowned second runner up.
In addition to an offstage personality interview, the 11 Mini-Miss competitors were also judged on their communication skills, talent and ability to answer an impromptu question.
Jaconetti delighted the crowd when she donned a red jacket and black fedora to blend Michael Jackson's moonwalk with her martial arts moves to "Thriller" and his other trademark tunes.
The talent portion included a jazz dance to "Don't Stop Belivin'," a tap solo to "Puttin' on the Ritz," and singing "Do You Believe in Magic."
