Letter: Person would sue if parolee hurt or killed family
I recently read that a paroled murderer who beat his grandmother to death with a hammer killed two volunteer firefighters with a gun.
The first problem with this story is: Why was this murderer out on the streets and not in jail?
Why are the people who let this nut out not up on charges?
What really makes me mad is that this is not an isolated incident — it's happening more and more. We hear of murderers committing the same crime sometimes two or three times.
It is time to start holding the parole board liable for this outrage. The prisoners learn what they should say and the people on these boards believe them and let them out with nobody holding them accountable. How do these sob sisters get on these boards and what are their qualifications? As for laws, every one of these shooters broke some laws.
We have to go back to no matter what you do you are responsible. There is no excuse when you murder someone. You should go to jail for life.
Get the sob sisters and put some real men who will protect me and not the murderer. If it were me, and one of my family was killed by one of these parolees, I would sue somebody.
