How long have you lived here: 11 years.
Occupation: Evidence technician and crime scene investigator for the Chico Police Department.
What is your favorite part of your job: Finding and processing evidence to help solve crimes. Every day is different.
What was your first job: In high school, I was a part-time dishwasher at the Lone Star Restaurant, which is now the Gentleman's Club in Chico.
What are you hobbies and interests: I'm very active in Freemasonry, the Shriners and a Masonic motorcycle riding group. I also enjoying traveling with my wife as often as we can.
What do you like most about Orland: Orland is full of hometown pride with lots of local events to get people involved in the community.
What would you like to change in Orland: I would love to see some large popular retail stores come to Orland, which is ideally located so close to Interstate 5.
Where is your favorite place to go in the area: Chico has a few great community theaters and an active music scene. My wife and I really enjoy attending the local productions and concerts there.
What is something you can't live without: A motorcycle. I have ridden motorcycles since I was 15.
What is your greatest accomplishment: Being together with my wife for 28 years; she keeps me sane.
What is your guilty pleasure: Diet soda, although I'm trying hard to cut it out of my life. When I do have one, it's so bad, it's good.
What is your worst fear: Not having my family, including my wife's family, close. Family is important to me.
When you were a kid what did you want to be: A police officer. While I never became one, I did come close when I got into law enforcement as a third career.
What was your favorite toy as a kid: My bicycles. They gave me the freedom to get away and run around the town.
What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day: Read. I love a good book and I'm an avid reader.
If you were granted one wish what would you wish for: Good health and happiness for my family.

What are your goals for 2013: To convince everyone that I am as legendary as I think I am.
