Letter: Guns aren't the problem
Never in the history of munitions has a musket, rifle, handgun or assault weapon taken itself from wherever it was stored, loaded itself with ammunition, aimed itself toward a target and triggered its firing mechanism. Never.
Never, in all these centuries, has any firearm been arrested, found guilty of murder and executed. Not ever.
It would seem, then, another knee-jerk response of podium-pounding oration and calling for or demanding "gun control" will be as ineffective at stemming the tides of violence as was the first round of such pleadings, and no matter how vigorously we legislate, those people who are willing to kill people or groups of people will find ways to do so.
