Talk Back: Fellowship of Friends; bullying; bedbugs

The Fellowship of Friends denies a federal court filing claiming members are involved in marijuana trafficking.

This organization is in the news far too much for allegations of breaking various laws. I really don't think that Yuba Co and the DEA are conspiring to take them down one way or the other. The truth is, you are innocent until proven guilty. But when you end up in the newspaper time and time again on allegations of illegal conduct, one has to wonder.

Seems like there is a good case for the Fellowship to sue, based on the religious discrimination in the motivation of the "credible informant" and in the wording of the warrant. Some people just love to hate, and they'll continue to find targets for their hatred.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender kids in Yuba-Sutter addressed the issue of bullying at a Saturday event in Marysville.

I was asked if I thought bullying & harassment of the LGBT community was especially bad in the Y-S area. In my (limited) experience doing outreach for GOTBLISS, I'm pleasantly surprised by the level of support in this community! Going out (w info) expecting to be met with rage and instead meeting "live and let live" was a beautiful moment for humanity!

I just wonder why we have to classify people all the time. Why can't we just like/dislike people for who they are and not what they are classified as? Who cares if someone is gay, straight, black, white, poor or rich?

I have to say that I am very grateful my children have not had to endure bullying because of my choices and that I have a support system in place if that does happen. There are so many in our community who aren't as lucky as I am and my heart goes out to them. No one deserves to be made fun of regardless of their sex/orientation.

Residents at Yuba City's Nice Inn claim the motel is battling bed bugs.

What everyone forgets is one of them residents probably brought in the bed bugs and now the hotel has to deal with it. It's not always the owners fault, some very high rated hotels have been hit by the bugs and they are totally clean places.
