Marysville
Victory Outreach readies fundraiser
Final plans are under way for a fundraiser parking lot sale to benefit Victory Outreach Twin Cities in Marysville.
The event is from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 11 at 5861 Feather River Blvd., Linda.
Acceptable donations for the sale can be dropped off only from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the location.
In addition, appointments for donation drop-off can be made by calling Sister Rosemary Elizalde at 933-1726.
Money raised will help local church members attend a women’s conference in March in Ontario.

Lutherans host Mardi Gras event
Faith Lutheran Church is helping prepare for Lent by hosting a Mardi Gras Festival with devotional ideas, devotion books and crafts.
The celebration is at 11:15 a.m. Feb. 12, followed by a light potluck lunch, at 1000 D St., Marysville.
Entries are being accepted for the chocolate cook-off set planned during the potluck lunch.

Youth worker session set
Pastors and those who work with youth and families are invited to a question and answer session about the mandatory reporting of abuse, coordinated by the Rev. Elaine Carter of Hope Point Nazarene Church.
A second topic at the meeting is how to develop a spiritual and therapeutic network for those who are counseled.
The luncheon meeting is at noon Feb. 14 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1000 D St., Marysville. Participants are asked to bring a bag lunch.
Carter, with a master’s degree in psychology, has done Christian counseling since 2001.

Arbuckle
Dinner scheduled
The annual Chicken/Ham Dinner hosted by the Arbuckle United Methodist Church is set from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Arbuckle Fire Hall.
The event includes a homemade bake table, a fishing booth for children and a drawing for a quilt designed and created by Barbara Peterson.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $4 for children 4 to 12 years, available from congregation members and at the door.
The dinner is free for children under 3 years.
Yuba City
Trinity pastors named
Victor and Rebecca Schreffler of the Bay Area are taking the role as lead pastor of Trinity Anglican Church in Yuba City.
They formerly worked with congregations in the Church of the Nazarene and the Free Methodist Church.
Trinity Anglican Church, with worship at 8:30 a.m. Sundays, shares facilities with Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 1302 Hooper Road.
