50th Anniversary: Pair

Olivehurst residents Glen and Ann Pair, the former Ann Hall, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a cruise to Ensenada, Mexico.

The couple were married June 6, 1958, in Reno, Nev., and are lifelong Mid-Valley residents.

Born in Colusa, he is a retired member of Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3. He enjoys golfing and fishing.

A native of Marysville, she is also retired. She enjoys shopping.

Their family includes two children, Lorna Gowan of Paradise and James Pair of Wilmington, N.C.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

HOMELESS SHELTER?
Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
Yes. We've gone too long with limited options for homeless families.
