Donald F. Palmer
Donald Forrest Palmer, 72, of Live Oak died Sept. 13, 2006, at Gridley-Biggs Memorial Hospital in Gridley.
Born in Helena, Mont., he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 14 years.
He was a heavy equipment operator for 40 years.
Also, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Marge Palmer of Live Oak; four sons, Jeff Ledford of Sacramento, Steve Palmer of Vacaville, Bud Palmer of Truckee and Philip Ledford of Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter, Kelly Ledford of Sacramento; his mother, Ruby Curley of Auburn; two sisters, Linda Masters of Auburn and Judy Strickland of Elko, Nev.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Reichmuth and a brother, Murray Palmer.
Donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or the Susan B. Koman Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.
Services: Inurnment will be private, with a memorial service at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City.
