Briefs: Parade entries accepted for Bok Kai
Plans are under way for the 133rd annual Bok Kai Parade in downtown Marysville.
Applications are being accepted until Feb. 22 for parade entries and Feb. 28 for vendors.
This year's event will celebrate the Year of the Snake and is set for March 16 on D Street.
Applications can be picked up at the Yuba-Sutter Regional Arts Council, 630 E St., Marysville.

Art After Hours set at Art-O-Culture
Art After Hours, featuring live music and other local artists, is one of several free events planned at Art-O-Culture.
The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. today and Jan. 26 at 419 D St., Marysville.
Every Monday night from 7-9 p.m. is the Readers and Writers group, formerly known as Open Mic Mondays.
Starting next month is the return of Sip n' Sketch, held from 7-9 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Next event is Feb. 6.
Regular gallery hours are noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday and noon to 6 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
