Hobbies, interests: I like to take photos. My favorite is the Lone Cypress on the 17 Mile Drive in Carmel. I blew it to poster size.

Where do you get your news? The newspaper and Channel 3.

What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? I've been in this area since third grade.

What's kept you in the Yuba-Sutter area? I left a time or two and came back. I like the small-town atmosphere.

Where would you like to live for a year? Wyoming, because of the wide open space, the bigness you see in pictures.

What is the closest you've been to a famous person? Bill Cosby in Reno. He shook my hand.

What would you do with a million dollars? Pay off bills, invest for my retirement. And buy one of those new Cadillacs. Not an old lady one, but a hot red CTS.

Where is your dream vacation? I would go to Greece. I've always thought it would be interesting to see the coliseums.

Who has had a strong influence in your life? My daughter. She's an awesome person.

Do you have a favorite memory to share? When my cat came back to me from 14 miles away. He was gone for a couple of weeks and showed up on Christmas Eve. The person who took him moved 14 miles away.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? A profiler — I was going to be the best.

Favorite places to go to in the area: Locally, the Buttes. Other, the ocean by Fort Bragg and east to Tahoe.

What is your dream job? A counselor for crisis intervention.

What would you like to see different in the community? Less gang violence.

What is your pet peeve? When people spit on the sidewalk.
