Live Oak residents Jim and Millie Phillips, the former Millie Schroeder, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with dinner at The City Cafe in Yuba City.

The couple met while she was visiting her brother in the Bay Area — he was her brother's roommate — and were married Sept. 26, 1987, in Concord.

The longtime Yuba-Sutter residents previously lived in Clayton.

The owner of Yuba-Sutter Builders Inc., he is also supervisor of building and operations at Ampla Health Care. He has been a member of Early Risers Kiwanis of Yuba City for 20 years.

She attended high school in Federal Way, Wash., and is a paralegal for attorney Francis L. Adams in Yuba City.

They have three children, Nick Phillips of Live Oak, Danielle Phillips of Yuba City and Cody Phillips of Corvallis, Ore.
