Letter: Planned Parenthood ‘rehab' evil failure

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

A degenerate culture calls evil good, as seen in the July 12 article "Teen moms back on track." The accountability rests with the Appeal-Democrat and St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.

Decades of Planned Parenthood deception, perversion, and failure deserve no praise. Planned Parenthood is a primary feeder of the epidemics it helped create and pretends to battle. Entrusting it with sexuality counseling is like entrusting government to anarchists. Be not deceived by its teen "rehabilitation" program. Current congressional effort to defund Planned Parenthood is eminently purposeful.

Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood founder and free-love advocate, declared "birth control" the cure for sexually transmitted diseases, illegitimacy, and abortion. What resulted (after 1950)? Sexual diseases grew readily into epidemics and today afflict one in five Americans. Illegitimacy rose from 4 percent to 40 percent of births, and surgical abortions alone now exceed 50 million preborn Americans killed by fellow Americans. Last year, Planned Parenthood surgically aborted over 280,000 U.S. citizens.

Welcoming Planned Parenthood onto church grounds is notably worse than inviting the "money changers" whom Christ's whip chased from the Jerusalem temple. What survival hope do our Judeo-Christian values have if we in the church betray them? The Bible commands us to "expose evil," rather than utilize its purveyors.

Planned Parenthood's financial empire openly embraces and profits from premarital sex, and the chief sufferers are millions of unwitting teens and preteens whose dreams are crushed and bodies infected. For how long will people of conscience allow such deception, exploitation, and loss in their community? Who will lead?
