Three Cheers Letter: Police responded quickly to break-in

I would like to say thank you to the Marysville Police Department.

In December, someone tried to break into my home while I was sleeping. I walked into my living room after my dog woke me up, and the front door began to come open. I was able to get the door shut and keep the intruders out of my house.

I immediately hid in my bedroom and called 911. The dispatcher was very nice and stayed on the phone with me to keep me calm until the police arrived. Within a minute, I heard the sirens coming down the street and the dispatcher said that there were police officers at my front door.

The police officers immediately put me and my dog in their police car while they checked everything out. I really appreciated the dispatcher keeping me calm on the phone and the police officer's quick response. Great job!
