FELONY ARRESTS

• Mark Allen Sexton, 31, of the 1100 block of Johnson Avenue, Marysville, was arrested by the Marysville Police Department at 2:32 p.m. Nov. 16 in the 1200 block of Gavin Drive on suspicion of corporal injury to spouse or cohabitant. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

• Priscilla Rosemary Holquin, of the 1700 block of Hammonton-Smartville Road, Yuba County, was arrested by the Yuba County Sheriff's Department at 4:45 p.m. Nov. 6 in the 1700 block of Hammonton-Smartville Road on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. She was booked into Yuba County Jail.

• John Michael Vawter, 55, of the 500 block of First Street, Arbuckle, was arrested by the Colusa County Sheriff's Department at 1:06 a.m. Nov. 16 at his residence on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant. He was booked into Colusa County Jail.

• Linda Rae Vawter, 44, of the 1900 block of Walnut Street, Arbuckle, was arrested by the Colusa County Sheriff's Department at 1:06 a.m. Nov.16 on the 500 block of First Street, Arbuckle, on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant. She was booked into Colusa County Jail.

• Christopher Brandon Johnston, 28, of Nevada, was arrested by the Colusa County Sheriff's Office at 10:22 p.m. Nov. 15 on Highway 20, Williams, on suspicion of possession of more than 28.5 grams of marijuana and transporting marijuana. He was booked into Colusa County Jail.

• Ramon Eduardo Valazquez, 24, of the 700 block of College Street, College City, was arrested by the Colusa County Narcotic Enforcement Team at 5:44 p.m. Nov. 14 on Grimes-Arbuckle Road on suspicion possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for sale. He was booked into Colusa County Jail.

• Alberto Julio Cano, 21, of the first block of Peerless Avenue, Arbuckle, was arrested by the Colusa County Sheriff's Office at 11:32 a.m. Nov. 14 at his residence on suspicion of possession of a narcotic controlled substance. He was booked into Colusa County Jail.

• Estevan Diaz Marmolejo, 28, transient, was arrested by the Colusa County Narcotics Enforcement Team at 9:45 a.m. Nov. 14 on Highway 20 on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale, false impersonation, and transporting marijuana. He was booked into Colusa County Jail.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE ARRESTS

• David Serapio Fuentes-Nieto, 28, of the 400 block of Bird Street, Yuba City, was arrested by the Marysville Police Department at 7:46 p.m. Nov. 16 at Third and F streets. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

• Joshua Tyler Young, 38, of Santa Rosa, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol at 8:42 p.m. Nov. 15 at Matthews Lane and Ramirez Road. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

• Alison Kristen Abner, 23, of the 1100 block of East 19th Street, Marysville, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol at 12:54 a.m Nov. 16 at 13th and Ramirez streets. She was booked into Yuba County Jail.

• Bradley Joseph Mathews, 21, of the 5700 block of Fruitland Road, Yuba County, was arrested by the Sutter County Sheriff's Department at 12:50 a.m. Nov. 17 at Butte House Road and Stabler Lane. He was booked into Sutter County Jail.

• Kyle Dean Stallcop, 21, of Chico, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol at 10:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at Highway 99 and Stewart Road. He was booked into Sutter County Jail.

• Martin Bricio Luquin, 42, of the 10300 block of Wooley Road, Live Oak, was arrested by the Sutter County Sheriff's Department at 7:40 p.m. Nov. 16 at D and Date streets. He was booked into Sutter County Jail.

• Candito Hernandez, 41, of the 3000 block of Fourth Street, Dunnigan, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol at 1:14 a.m. Nov. 17 on southbound Interstate 5, south of Arbuckle. He was booked into Colusa County Jail.

• Felix Cisneros Acosta, 31, of the 4000 block of River Road, Colusa, was arrested by the Colusa Police Department at 12:09 a.m. Nov. 16 on River Road. He was booked into Colusa County Jail.

• Luis Jaramillo Rodriguez, 36, of the 800 block of Ninth Street, Arbuckle, was arrested by the Williams Police Department at Sixth and E Streets, Williams, He was booked into Colusa County Jail.

Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
