Police Blotter: Sept. 27, 2009

FELONY ARRESTS

• Jared Oreste Giampaoli, 24, of the 3300 block of Muir Road, Yuba City, was arrested by the Sutter County Sheriff's Department at 3:52 a.m. Sept. 26 at Franklin and Tarke roads on suspicion of violating probation. He was booked into Sutter County Jail.

• Tommy Smith Jr., 32, of the 1400 block of Buchanan Street in Marysville was arrested by the Marysville Police Department at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 25 in the 900 block of 21st Street on suspicion of obstructing arrest. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

• Mickey Ray Jeffrey, a.k.a. John Ray Pace, a.k.a. Charles Louis Anderson, 51, a transient at 22nd Street, Marysville, was arrested by the Yuba County Sheriffs Department at 10:50 a.m. Sept. 25 at the Yuba County Courthouse on suspicion of kidnapping, robbery, false imprisonment, and assault with a firearm. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

• Norman Kelly Smith Jr., 42, of the 5100 block of Lindhurst Avenue was arrested by the Yuba County Sheriffs Department at 5:20 p.m. Sept. 24 at his residence on suspicion of violating probation. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

• Juan Carlos Berrelez, 29, of the 6000 block of Brophy Road, Linda, was arrested by the Yuba County Sheriffs Department at 5:22 p.m. Sept. 24 at his residence on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE ARRESTS

• Ruben Olmedo, 25, of the 300 block of Dorman Avenue, Yuba City, was arrested by the Yuba City Police Department at 10:50 p.m. Sept. 25 on the 200 block of Garden Highway. He was booked into Sutter County Jail.

• Patrick Joseph Slavin, 46, of Menlo Park, was arrested by California Highway Patrol at 2:21 a.m. Sept. 26 on Highway 20 at Spring Valley Road. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.
