FELONY ARRESTS

• Waylon Marshall McCormick, 23, of Chester, was arrested by the Sutter County Sheriff's Department at 10:40 p.m. Feb. 7 on Maple Park, Live Oak, on suspicion of criminal threats, assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm and damaging a telephone line. He was booked into Sutter County Jail.

• Scott Tom Newsom, 34, of the 1800 block of Everglade Road, Yuba City, was arrested by the Sutter County Sheriff's Department at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 7 in the 5500 block of Garden Highway on suspicon of corporal injury to spouse and assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm. He was booked into Sutter County Jail.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE ARRESTS

• Louis Roger Younger, 48, of the 1900 block of Country Club Drive, Linda, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol at 10:05 a.m. Feb. 7 at Ninth and Olivehurst avenues, Olivehurst. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

• Jose Chavez-Alvarez, 27, of the 6000 block of Gossett Way, Yuba County, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol at 7:04 p.m. Feb. 7 on Alpine Street. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.
