Penny Smith of Yuba City and Kevin S. Potts of Travis Air Force Base were married June 6 at the Sutter County Memorial Museum’s Rose Garden in Yuba City. Nick Emery, youth pastor of the Yuba City Nazarene Church, officiated.
They were attended by the bride’s children, Millie Smith, Amos Smith and Rex Smith, all of Yuba City; and the groom’s children, Amanda Catterson of Yuba City, Joey Catterson of Colusa and Thomas Potts and Megan Potts, both of Travis Air Force Base.
In addition, the groom had his brother, Glenn Potts of Indianapolis, Ind., as best man.
The bride is the daughter of Alice Rooney of Yuba City and the late Gerald Rooney. A graduate of Faith Christian High School and Yuba College, she works as a medical biller for Troxel’s Front Page in Marysville.
The groom is the son of Karen Potts of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Gerald Potts of Indianapolis, Ind. A graduate of Reynoldsburg High School in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, he is serving in the U.S. Air Force, 860th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, at Travis Air Force Base.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s mother in Yuba City. The couple honeymooned at the California redwoods and plan to make a home in Yuba City.
