Several pounds of cocaine, methamphetamine seized in Gridley raid
Authorities seized more than a pound of cocaine and a pound of methamphetamine during a raid on Tuesday in Gridley.
Yuba-Sutter NET-5 agents were involved in the seizure in the 1100 block of Indiana Street, which Cmdr. Martin Horan said was part of a larger trafficking operation.
"It appears the residence was some type of distribution point for a larger organization," Horan said.
The Gridley-Biggs Police Department is the lead agency and the case will be prosecuted in Butte County. Police could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
Resident Santiago Sanchez, 46, was not arrested for unspecified health reasons, Horan said.
The case will be sent to the Butte County District Attorney's Office for charges.
Authorities confiscated more than a pound of uncut cocaine, valued around $10,000, and about one pound of uncut crystal methamphetamine, valued at around $8,000.
Agents also seized two firearms and $23,800 cash, Horan said.
