Talk Back: Gas prices; unemployment rate
Gasoline prices have hit an all-time high.
Where is our government leaders? Shouldn't thay step in and build more refineris.Come on people of California and America.
— Ricky Maxey
And it has NOTHING to do with Obama.
— Dennis Speek
Yesterday $4.79 in San Diego, $5.29 outside Chula Vista, and $3.70 when we hit the border and here in Phoenix...instantly cheaper the min you leave California
— Josh Hatfield
Amazing, when unemployment went up to 10% because of George Bush and it landed on Obama's watch it was fine to believe it, but when the economy is coming back and the religious asses and bigots don't want to believe it, its an impossibility and theorists pop up out of the woodwork.
— Rod Moore
The US unemployment rate hit 7.8 percent in September.
Maybe the unemployment rate dropped because people have used up all of their 99 weeks and still have no job.
— Katie Hull
Nobody really believes the numbers, but, really Mr. President, do you think this will help your cause? Everyone knows that the number is closer to 20% but the government has just given up anyone who does not help their number. Pathetic?
— Richard Adams
114,000 jobs added caused unemployment to dip below 8%, that's a fact. Last year's monthly figure was 156,000 jobs added on average. This year it's an average of 145,000 per month. we sure aren't going in the right direction, which belies the BLS' numbers.
— Don Stifle
So the same people who give the stats every month gave em this month and people are saying Obama tainted the numbers because election is next month? People have a serious taste of hate for MR.PRESIDENT. They need to show some respect.
— Calvin Holmes
I fail to understand, considering the division and hate speech from the constituents, how anyone can have any confidence in supporting either candidate. If they're as bad as the American public accuse them of being, what kind of a republic are we that we would elect either party?
— Wendy Mcgowan
When I see my friends that have been out of work for 3 years get a job I'll believe the numbers. Look around, are you better off now? Gas at over 4 to 5 bucks a gallon, higher water bills, higher cost of food, higher taxes, higher insurance costs. Yup things are getting better....
— Lee Pritchard
