Letter: Be good stewards, vote no on Prop. 1D

The new buzz term everyone uses, “go green,” concerns everything - the air we breathe, the food we eat, the garbage we so carefully sort and recycle. Now it’s time to go green for our youngsters by voting “No” on Proposition 1D. Being good stewards of our planet should be second nature to all of us. But now it’s time to take one step further and it’s time to go green for our children - leave the monies alone that provide for dental, early education, medical, vision and speech.

Here in California we need to “Go Green” and leave the monies in the First Five Program. The funds were provided through Proposition 10 Tobacco Tax. The “Tobacco Tax” was created to be used exclusively for the benefit of children zero to 5 to better prepare them for school and beyond.

Now is the time to be good stewards to our children. Vote no on Proposition 1D.
