Two Yuba runners into finals

Yuba College track athletes Brian Nelson and Cody Savage, both Sutter High products, qualified for the Big-7 Conference finals after their efforts in the trials on Wednesday afternoon at American River College.
Nelson, a sophomore, qualified second for the 800-meter run in a time of 1 minute, 57.87 seconds.
Savage, a freshman, qualified fifth in the 400 hurdles in 1:46.
The finals will be held Saturday at American River.
