Three Cheers: Quilt guild indebted to contributors

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

The Sutter Buttes Quilt Guild would like to thank the wonderful sponsors of the 2009 Quilt Show and all the people that attended. Happy people enjoyed the many items on display and the various vendors.

A special thank you goes to Sunsweet Growers Store, our platinum sponsor, for its contribution to the “Basket Raffle” and other donations. We had many compliments on the baskets. Thank you to our gold sponsors, Cathy Evans-Quilt by Cathy, Century 21 Select Real Estate Inc., Whit Taylor-Edward Jones, and Pat Hall-Androus Insurance. Without your support we could not have done the show.

To Katie McCollum, featured quilter, thank you for displaying your many quilts.  Your efforts were vital to the success of our show.

To each of the guild members and their family members that helped, thank you for the many hours you gave to the show and the entries you loaned us for display.

Vendors add to the success of any quilt show. Thank you. It was fun to see the new things available and to enjoy the foods supplied.

The shade supplied by Sweco was appreciated. Thank you YSDI for your contribution, and the Sutter Youth Organization for the use of their building.

We are indebted to the people that attended. Without you there wouldn’t be a show. We appreciate your generous support. We hope you enjoyed our efforts and we will see you again at our next show.

PAY HIKE?
What should the board of trustees do with the proposed $29,282 pay raise for Chancellor Nicki Harrington?
Rescind it. Now is not the time.
Give it to her. She should be compensated fairly and competitively.
