Samuel R. Rackley
Samuel Reese Rackley, 66, of Marysville died Jan. 12, 2006, at his residence.
Born in Pueblo, Colo., he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 17 years.
He was an agricultural contractor.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Diane Rackley of Marysville; four sons, Michael Rackley of Marysville, Sam Rackley of Kennewick, Wash., Edgar Rackley of Yakima, Wash., and Bill Rackley of Quincy, Wash.; two daughters, Lisa Madewell of Anderson, Mo., and Sandra Rackley of Wellton, Ariz.; his father, Edgar Smith of Portland, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Smith; a sister, Roselle Thompson; and two brothers, Cecil Rackley and Troy Rackley.
Services: A service is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond St., Yuba City. Pastor Ronald Harden of Trinity Church of Christ in Sacramento will officiate.
