Letter: Boat ramp, fees criticized
This letter is for the fishermen in the Live Oak area. I went down to the Live Oak Park Boat Ramp to buy my annual senior pass to use the boat ramp. The guy couldn't sell me the pass for my windshield but gave me a flier that tells about the meeting with the Sutter County supervisors to be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at 466 Second St., Yuba City.
I have two complaints about this. First, they want to amend the current fees and raise the costs. What timing in a depressed economy. The second problem is that if you walk to the end of the floating dock and look into the water, you will see the berm of sand and rocks that have built up just waiting to eat your propeller.
After this winter with high water, that berm will get really bigger. The company that built the new ramp should have to fix it. Until then, fishermen need to be careful using this ramp.
