Letter: Reader appreciates criticism of Herger

Thank you, Mary, for saying what I had been thinking (“Poor Wally the Obstructionist,” Jan. 30).

This area is so conservative (nothing wrong with being conservative but...) that I wondered if I was alone in the wilderness. But then there you were speaking words that I understood and agreed with, too.

For those of you that don’t remember, Mary’s letter chided Congressional Rep. Wally Herger for writing two letters to the editor of the Appeal-Democrat expressing disdain for new President Barack Obama.

And our president has only been in office for, what a few weeks?

How long has Wally Herger been in office? I’m not remembering a lot of proud accomplishments. The youth of the area appreciate all the awards he has handed them, but what else is there to remember?

Oh, I forgot, rubber stamping.
