PREP ROUNDUP: Shooting woes cost Blazers in loss
Lady Pirates down Spartans; Wheatland wrestling falls short
An off shooting night plagued the Lindhurst High boys basketball team as it fell 59-49 to Las Plumas at home on Tuesday night.
The Blazers, who were without the services of starting forward Malik Payton, shot 18 of 62 from the field.
"You're not going to win many games shooting like that," said Lindhurst coach Rick Wise. "We couldn't hit anything."
A bright spot for the Blazers was Devin Ward, who finished with 23 points and six rebounds, while Cedrick Thomas tallied 16 points, 14 rebounds and five assists. Alex Yang grabbed seven rebounds in the loss for Lindhurst (6-5).
Payton is recovering from an ankle injury and is expected to return later this month.
