Olivehurst
Revival runs through Sunday
A prayer revival welcoming 2013 continues today and Sunday at Feather River Baptist Church, 5400 Chestnut Road, Olivehurst.
Services are from 6:30-8:30 p.m. both days.
Persons in need of transportation can call 742-2227. In addition, the prayer request line is 743-4824.
The three-day revival began on Friday.
Marysville
Bible blessing offered Monday
St. John’s Episcopal Church, at 800 D St. in Marysville, is offering the option on Monday of blessing Bibles to be used in “The Bible Challenge” launched this month by the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California.
The challenge, officially beginning Sunday, invites the community to read the entire Bible in one year. Readings start on Monday.
Activities include reading two or three Old Testament chapters, one Psalm and one chapter from the New Testament each day, in order.

Colusa
Relief Society card party set
The annual card party and luncheon hosted by the Catholic Ladies Relief Society No. 4 is planned at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 12 at St. Bernadette’s Hall, 745 Ware Ave., Colusa.
Card games include whist, bridge and pinochle. A raffle and prizes for high scores are also part of the festivities.
The cost is $15 per person, with reservations recommended. All proceeds go toward the society's charity efforts.
